TRIP OVERVIEW

Our goal is to show you Jerusalem from a different angle. The city speaks to everyone in a different way, and for us, the best way to understand the Old City is through its back alleys and unique culinary flavors represented by the many cultural and ethnic groups populating the city today.

The day will include a visit to the Temple Mount / Harem el Sharif – the holiest site in Judaism and third holiest in Islam.

You will discover all the things you never knew existed in addition to the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque – including the famous Fountain of Qatbay, Palestinian Leaders’ Tombs and the Tomb of Sharif Hussein and much more.

Of course, we will also enjoy a ton of different Jerusalem treats along the way – including what we think is the best hummus across both Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Make sure you come hungry as we will temp your tastebuds throughout the day. We will also visit a 200+ year old Tehina factory tucked away in the Muslim Quarter

Jerusalem is a maze of markets and we will take you to the city’s oldest and most authentic Middle Eastern suq in the Cotton Merchant’s Market – a great place to enjoy some tea along the way before we head underground! Our goal is to capture Jerusalem from both above and below!

We believe that the key to any trip is the people you meet along the way. Bilal Abu Khalaf is one of them – and we will head to his fabric shop to hear his story as the finest fabric merchant in the region!

This will be a full day of walking, eating, drinking and meeting people across the city, trying to understand the complexities that go into the decision making process with regards to the future of the most holy city on earth!
