TRIP OVERVIEW

“Sinai belongs to all of its lovers”

We missed hiking in Sinai, its red mighty mountains, the orchards heavy with heavenly fruits, the always generous Bedouin hospitality, its deep blue and turquoise  sea, and the incredible marine life, the sense of peace and timelessness only Sinai can provide.

We will have a taste of all of these on this 4 days trip, including a visit to Ras Muhammad, one of the world’s best reefs, right at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula.

Trip Itinirary:

Thursday June 25th: Meet up at the Taba border crossing, taxi to St. Cathrine area, hiking Naqb abu sila, Harzat Shag pools, optional climb for sunset at Jabl Na’aja sleeping at Shu’ob’s orchard

Friday 26th: A day packed with desert pools swimming in the canyons, natural and manmade optional sunset ascent to Jabl Abbas Basha and the unfinished palace at its peak, sleeping at Umria’s orchard.

Saturday 27th: Wadi Shag, “the little Tala” canyon, The canyon of suprises, the dripping spring, Naqb Quuiz back to civilaztion and a taxi ride to Ras Muhammad.

Sunday 28th: A day of diving & snorkling at the Ras Muhammad nature reserve, located at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula between the gulfs of Aqaba and Suez, this reef is ranked as one of the best on our planet! taxi ride to Taba (those who wish to extend their stay in Sinai can continue independently from here)

The hikes will be done with day packs while our Bedouin logistics crew will transfer our gear to our camping locations on camels. We will carry our lunches in our packs and prepare it together, breakfasts and dinners will be at our camping locations (you can help to prepare, if wish and learn some Bedouin cooking techniques) the food will be vegetarian\ vegan.
