Our first hybrid hike of the season: a moonlight hike and a morning hike in the Lower Galilee.
We will start our hike at night, through the fields above the moonlit Yavne’el Valley until we reach Mitzpe Eilot where we’ll rest and wait for the sunrise from a breathtaking vantage point above the Sea of Galilee & the Jordan River Valley.
From the high point we’ll start our descent via the INT (Israel National Trail) through the flowing Yavne’el Stream, with its many hidden springs.
From there we’ll hike to the Yardenit: The place where The Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee for a refreshing swim to wash the dust off the road.
From the end of the trail we’ll catch a bus to Tiberias, returning home before Shabbat .
This hike is based upon using Public transportation.
Meeting point: Tel Aviv Central Bus station 18:40
Difficulty level: the hike itelf is not hard, but we’ll cover 20+ KM
Equipment: food and 5L of water, sleeping gear (we’ll have few hours to rest before sunrise), swimming gear, warm clothes for the night.
