TRIP OVERVIEW

It is one of our best and most beloved traditions: A hardcore Eilat mountains backpacking trek, for the toughest of hikers!

You will trek some of the most breathtaking and challenging trails of the Negev, carrying everything you need to survive on your back.

TO COMPLETE THIS TREK YOU MUST BE ABLE TO HIKE 20+ KM PER DAY, WITH EVERYTHING ON YOUR BACK ON CHALLENGING TERRAIN. THIS TREK IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINERS, OR HIKERS WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HEIGHTS!

Trip plan:

Thursday 11th: meet up and camp at Yotvata.

Friday 12th: Hike Wadi Yotvata including scrambling huge boulders and bypassing high dry waterfalls, ascend to the top of the Shayarot cliffs, the desert highland, camp at Milhan campground (no facilities whatsoever) , water refill and wood for fire.

Stats: 20Km, 1000m ascents, 400m descents.

Saturday 13th: Hiking to Mt. Berech for an amazing view of the Timna valley and the great rift, hike the breathtaking hanging trail above the huge cliffs surrounding the Timna valley, descending the ancient Milhan ascent, Sasgon valley and dunes, end the hike at the Timna bus stop.

Stats: 24Km 750m ascents, 1200m descents.
