This is a great way to learn about the area’s unique geology, important biblical history and modern challenges in protecting one of the earth’s most precious natural zones.
We are heading down to the Dead Sea Transform for a beautiful, Saturday hike that will take us above one of the world’s most fascinating natural wonders.
The day will start by climbing one of the Judean Desert’s most important and historical dead sea ascents – Ma’ale Fesh’ha.
At the top, we will be surrounded by beautiful panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and Dead Sea with the Moab Mountains of Jordan off to the east.
Along the way, we will learn about the area’s geological, biblical and modern history and discuss the rapidly changing environment and the changes taking place in one of the country’s most isolated areas.

From the cliffs and chalky ridglines of the desert plateau we will make our final descent back to the dead sea shore using the ancient and steep Mezin ascent.
