The Eilat mountains are the most diverse and colorful desert in Israel, In this unique trek we will explore everything this area has to offer, climbing dark granite peaks, traversing deep canyons bouldering, scrambling and using ladders, walking ancient trade and smuggler’s routes, being surrounded in the majestic views of the gulf of Eilat bordering 4 countries (Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia)
Trip plan:
Day 0 (Thursday November 21st) Meet up at Eilat CBS, Taxi drive to campground
Day 1 (Friday November 22nd) Hike the red canyon and the lesser Shani less known gorge, climb Mt. Neshef and amazing views deep into Sinai (Eilat mountains highest point) hike the scenic smuggler’s trail down to Upper Shchoret canyon, the saddle of thousend colors, camp at Shchoret camp.
Day 2 (Saturday November 23rd) Hike up Shchoret black canyon, climb Mt. Shchoret, the colorful lost gorge, hike up Netafim canyon a natural playground with many ladders and scrambles, Netafim spring and climbing the narrow crack of Netafim, a scenic view of the gulf of Eilat from Mt. Yoash, time permiting: the upper Gishron canyon and the amazing viewpoint above the massive canyon of Wadi Taba, a taxi ride back to Eilat CBS.
TO COMPLETE THIS TREK YOU MUST BE ABLE TO HIKE 20+KM A DAY, ON DIFFICULT TERRAIN WITH EVERYTHING ON YOUR BACK!
THIS HIKE REQUIRES HEAD FOR HEIGHTS BEACAUSE OF MANY LADDERS AND EXPOSED HIKING NEXT TO HIGH LEDGES.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
* This trip requires sturdy shoes (no flip flops) suited for rocky terrain. Participants will remain off the trail should their footwear not be suited for the terrain.
*3 Litres of water per person + hat + sunscreen
* Each participant is responsible for his or her own personal security and health.
* Swimming in places without a life guard is at the swimmer’s own responsibility
REFUND, CANCELLATION & TRIP-ADJUSTMENT POLICY
*** Included in the price of the ticket is a non-refundable deposit fee. This fee is 50 NIS
*** Full refund including deposit fee will be issued upon request no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled start time.
*** Partial refunds will be issued no later than 3 days prior to the trip (50 NIS fee not refunded)
*** No refunds will be issued within 72 hours of the scheduled trip
*** Should a participant cancel his or her ticket, he or she can inquire about moving the ticket to another Finjan event at the same cost.
*** Should a participant request a refund within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time, a full refund can be specially issued if that ticket will be purchased by another participant or someone on the Finjan waiting list.
*** No refunds will be issued for hikers failing to arrive on time for their pick up point.
*** Full refund will be issued should the trip be cancelled or postponed for any reason at the discretion of the trek leader(s).
*** The trek leader(s) has the right to change the location of the trip prior to or throughout the trip based on weather conditions without issuing a refund to participants.
*** The trek leader(s) have full discretion in not allowing a participant to fulfil the trek based on certain health considerations and or lack of proper footwear/water.
