The Eilat mountains are the most diverse and colorful desert in Israel: dark peaks of granite, narrow red and colorful sandstone canyons, mighty white cliffs of limestone, stunning views of the red sea, mountains of Edom in Jordan, the peaks of Sinai and the Saudi shoreline.
For the first time we are arranging a hike to this distant area, with transportation from Tel Aviv and logistics that will allow you to hike with your day pack through trails that will give you a taste of everything on this unique area.
Friday 10th: Pick up from Tel Aviv, breakfast break, hiking the Mt. Amir circuit, a stunning trail with an amazing red sandstone and beautiful views of the gulf of Eilat, setting camp at the Shchoret campground, bonfire and relaxation
Saturday 11th: breakfast, arranging our gear, hiking the black canyon of Shchoret, climbing Mt. Shchoret, descending to the narrow and colorful lost valley, climbing Mt. Shachmon overlooking the gulf and the city of Eilat, finish the hike in Eilat and start heading back to Tel Aviv.
