Ein Gedi National Park is a unique phytogeographical landscape in the heart of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea Transform – three different zones that create a beautiful desert oasis full of flowing water, hidden waterfalls and beautiful, natural swimming areas.
These features have made the area an ideal place for continuous human settlement throughout the ages – from the prehistoric periods, to the time of King David and up through today. It is one of Israel’s primary sources of natural spring water and full of beautiful landscapes and a variety of unique flora and fauna due to its phytogeographical composition.
Our hike will take us to the reserve’s southern stream – Wadi Arugot – where we will experience the area’s stunning geographical features. We will hike through water, ascend to the stream’s upper pools and visit the famous hidden waterfall.
The Ein Gedi Nature Reserve is full of wonderful options for hiking and swimming, and there is no better place to capture this than through experiencing Wadi Arugot and cooling off on a hot day.
Time permitting, after the hike, we will head to the ancient synagogue of Ein Gedi and learn about ancient, Jewish life in the area and what this synagogue means within the historical record.
A pre-sale discounted price will be available for 180.50 NIS; regular tickets will then be sold at 195.50 NIS
